Starting Pre-School
We welcome parents bringing their children to visit the Pre-School before they start. Please contact the Pre-School in advance to arrange a day.
Children will be able to start Pre-School when they are 2 and a half years old.
We want your child to feel happy and safe at the pre-school. To make sure that this is the case, the staff will work with you to decide on how to help your child to settle into the pre-school.
We are happy for a favourite toy, comfort cloth or dummy to be brought into Pre-School to help settle your child if required. They should be named and can be kept in a green box in the main hall.
We do not require children to be toilet trained. (please provide nappies if necessary.) Our staff are happy to co-operate with parents when their child is ready to gain independence in toilet duties.
The pre-shool encourages children to gain the skills, which help them to be independant and look after themselves. These include taking themselves to the toilet and taking off - and putting on - outdoor clothes. Clothing which is easy for them to manage will help them do this, please name all clothing.
Emmanuel Pre-School sweatshirts (£8.00) and t-shirts (£5.00) are available to buy, please see the Supervisor.
